About Me

If you are wondering more about me then read on :)

My first and greatest job is being a wife and mother.
I am an Athletic Trainer by profession and education but do not currently work in that field so that I can be at home with my kids.
My family lives in McCook, a small town of around 8000.  I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah but moved to Lincoln after college to work at the University of Nebraska.  It is there that I met my husband.  After he finished his professional training, we moved to McCook and are about an hour away from where he grew up.
I started getting into photography after the birth of my first child, when my husband bought me a DSLR as a surprise present.  I think he learned my love for pictures and photography early on.  I used to tell people my dream profession would be a photographer, but for a long time it was just a dream.  When I got my DSLR, something turned on inside and the dream was something that I wanted to actually start doing.
So, with the support of my wonderful family I started taking their pictures and quickly realized there was way more then an auto function.  I began reading books and magazines on "taking better pictures," I joined an online photography school, and took some local classes in order to learn the art and skill of taking pictures, and slowly I moved away from the "auto" world and into "manual."  Thanks to my father-in-law also having an intrest in photography, I have been able to use some of his photography equiptment to expand my knowledge of the field.

There are so many great photographers out there that it is not hard to find someone to take pictures for you.
My desire is not to make a living off being a photographer, but to make getting pictures affordable, easy and enjoyable.  The fee charged is to cover expenses and to build up funds to purchase new equiptment as it is needed.

If you have questions or would like more information please feel free to email me or leave a comment on how I can help you.
